A Toast to What’s to Come:

Sweetgrass Vodka Founder Jarrod Swanger Talks New Partnership with Actor Jeremy Renner

by Denise K. James

Denise K James: Explain how and why you decided it was time to sell the Sweet Grass Vodka brand.

Jarrod Swanger: We didn’t sell our company, but rather, Jeremy Renner bought in as a co-owner. We wanted to partner with someone we knew could take our brand to the next level. Jeremy and I share the same vision to create an all-encompassing spirit brand that doesn’t just produce the highest quality vodka, but also prompts a lifestyle and a mindset. Jeremy understood that intrinsically, and, with his recognition and vision, we’re able to share our message with a larger audience. Without giving too much away, you can expect big things from our family of spirits!

DJ: What’s the future of Sweet Grass Vodka now?

JS: We want Sweet Grass Vodka to become a household name. We’re going to continue bringing our product to communities across the country.

DJ: I understand you’ve grown and sold businesses more than once. How do you select new businesses or projects?

JS: I select new projects based on their purpose and opportunity for growth. I typically try to lead with my gut and assess all the options before acting.

DJ: What else should readers of Southern Flavor Magazine know or be interested in?

JS: Our official flagship and tasting room is the Sweetgrass Lounge in downtown Charleston, where you can enjoy Sweet Grass Vodka from the source. We also host cocktail classes and private events. Visit sweetgrassvodka.com/ lounge
